Charge 6 battery drains fast

Recently, my Charge 6 can’t hold a charge for more than half a day.  It used to stay charged for 3 days.  Now it drains fast, charges slow.  Have tried the restart method.   That results in a a rapid charge, but it drains rapidly.  Within an hour.   I have read this is a firmware problem. I have read this is Google including energy sapping data collection.    I need a solution.  The Charge 6 isn’t even a year old.

Thanks for taking the time to mention the steps you have already taken. Let me suggest some additional steps.

First, please keep in mind some specific features like GPS or Always-on Display mode. These two features can significantly decrease your battery life. Additionally, if you start receiving more notifications than usual, the battery life will also tend to decrease.
