So far my Charge 6 has shut down 5 time, twice over night during sleep, once during an exercise session (yoga) and twice doing nothing.
Today, when I started my day, the Charge 6 showed 45% battery life, device shut down at about 12:36 so went through the restart procedure, when the device came back it said battery was at 17%, within a couple of minutes the Charge 6 showed 38% still on the charger.
Someone posted that I should do a clear all user data procedure to try and resolve the shutdown issue, so I did this, however the device would then not connect to my phone! A couple of Charge 6 device resets later and the pairing process worked. During the reset process, my charge 6 had gone up to 61% charge, so from 38% to 61% in about 5 minutes. Following one of the resets, the charge went back to 38% and rapidly went up to 44%. Now successfully paired and on charge for about 15 minutes, and showing 73%.
Has anyone else seen this odd behavior, I have seen some reports on battery issues and battery life so I don't think I am on my own with this really annoying issue? I am guessing that the device is shutting down because it thinks it's at 0%. I need to do more observation, but think that the device has only ever shutdown like this when the charge is at less than 45%, as there is no way to extract any charge % data, I have no way of verifying this.
Interestingly, since the 24th of October, my Charge 5 was in my work bag, charged it to 100%, today after 8 days of not being worn, just sitting in my bag and checking battery gauged a few time, it is currently showing 55%!

@DavidNS contact customer support and send it back. There is no way that it's a correct behaviour and no any power-hungry settings on the tracker could cause it.
