I've had a Charge 6 about 20 months, and in the last couple of months the battery life has been up and down. It got worse, then improved, but has recently started to last just 2.5 days between charges.
I'm regularly missing sleep tracking, as it's not even notifying me of a low battery, but then running out during the night.
Spoke to support today, and was told that 2.5 days is acceptable, and only to contact them again if it's less than 48 hours. That seems really odd for a device that is supposed to last up to 7 days is considered fine when it cuts out well before 3 days.
Wondered if anyone else had been told the same, or had similar problems?
Moderator edit: clarified subject.

Thanks for the reply.
Support told me there's nothing they can do, and no point contacting them unless it drops below 2 days, so I was just curious if anyone else had a similar issue.
At 2.5 days per charge, they said, "Under our standard yes, we do not consider that the device has inconvenience with the battery duration."
The only advice they offered was to check if I'd cleaned the charger/tried a different plug socket, which I had.
I was just very surprised, as 2 days seems like a very low bar for a battery that should usually be closer to a week, and was fine up until fairly recently.

Hi - Sorry for another question, but do you know why the subject of my question was modified. It took out the mention that I'd been told by Support this was normal? Not sure if it was you, but it does say "moderator edited".
I've not been critical of the person I spoke to, as clearly they don't decide on Google's policies. It's also significant to my question, that Google Support said that 2.5 days battery life was normal, and there's nothing they can do, as it saves people telling me to contact support.
Clearly I'd need advice about anything I can do to mitigate this myself.

Since an update that was pushed through without warning (at least I didn’t get a heads up) late last week, my battery life has dropped significantly. I bought my Fitbit in May 2024 and it has been trouble free til last week, when the update hit while I was out of town for a quick trip. I charged my Fitbit before I left so I didn’t bring my charger for an overnight stay (which included 12 hours sitting on a train so it wasn’t a hugely taxing situation for the device!). But the software update throttled my device’s ability to sync with the app so it seemed to burn through the charge on my Fitbit in a matter of hours. I lost two days worth of data and now I have to keep agreeing to health metrics on the app and agreeing to have my Fitbit share heart rate data with my phone in the middle of a workout (it’s an iPhone 14 Pro Max fwiw). And the full charge I had as of Sunday is down 40% now which is unusual—not as bad as the 2.5 days mentioned above but definitely a drop when I’m used to setting it and forgetting it as they say. I’d rather not have to babysit my watch like this…

Hello @Matt-fbuser1
When my Charge 5 started having rapid battery loss, I restarted and recharged my device multiple times over several days. As soon as I saw a rapid drop in battery, I restarted my Charge 5 and put it on the charger until it was back to 100%, often doing this multiple times in a day. Eventually, this process got my device "unstuck" and the battery went back to lasting 6-7 days. Although there's no guarantee that this will work for your Charge 6, it might be worth a try.

I have just purchase a Fitbit versa 4 was told it would have 6+ days battery life. I’m only getting 3 days. I am very disappointed I wouldn’t have purchased I would have chosen another make of smart watch.

Hello @Colette_66
You posted in the Charge 6 product help forum. There is a separate product help forum for the Versa 4 (<-- click).
My apologies if you've already reviewed the information on this help page (<-- click) which has recommendations for extending your device's battery life.
If your Charge 6 is already set up for maximum battery life, it might be best to return it for a replacement. You could also contact Fitbit Support (<-- click) and have them check your Versa 4 to ensure it's working correctly. Complete the prompt in Step 1. Tap Continue in Step 2 (ignore Resources) to get to Step 3 which has the contact options.

My Fitbit Charge 6 battery last less than 2 days. It only started doing this in the last month or two. When it was new I got 7 days use out of it but not now.
