Fitbit shows complete black face. Fully charged and set up app but nothing on watch

Please, try to restart the device.
In addition, try to change your clock face as indicated in this help article: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

I have the same issue as Edwina on my Charge 6, and have tried multiple times to restart with no luck. The screen is completely blank, but I can see from the app on my phone that it is continuing to charge, and to record activity and sleep. When I connect to the charger I get the buzz, as I do when it detects a walk, or I hit my step goal (at least I think that is why I'm getting the buzz as I can't see the screen). If the restart doesn't work does that mean the Fitbit is defective? I've had it for just 5 months. Should I return it, or is there something else that I can try first. Thanks!
