Charge 6 blank screen

My Charge 6 is recording my steps (and other items) and transferring them to the app on my phone, but the display is blank.  I have tried to restart the display by holding the button down on the side 3 times within 10 seconds, and also by attaching it and detaching it from the power cord 3 times within 10 seconds, but neither works.  When I press the button on the side, there is a small vibration, but otherwise it appears as if it is shut down.  The app reports that it is currently 95% charged.

Please help.

Hi @XanderC, welcome to  the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with the display of your Charge 6. Thank you for the troubleshooting you have already done. I really appreciate it.

To resolve this issue, you can change the clock face of your Charge6's screen. Sometimes, this fixes the issue. To change your clock face, refer to the instructions listed in our help article How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device? > How do I change my clock face?

Thanks for trying to help. I was able to select a new clock face on the app. This caused the device to show the Fitbit logo and have the status line grow from left to right across the screen. However, when it finished, the screen went blank again. So I changed the clock face back to my preferred style but it is still blank.
the button on the side continues to cause the device to vibrate, but not to display anything.

what should I try next?
