Charge 6 calorie tracking accuracy?

hi there! so i recently bought my first ever fitbit this past week and its been great! i just have a quick question about the calorie tracking, as i feel like there's no way that im burning that many calories 😅

for reference, im 21f, 5'3 and approx. 205lbs. i have a pretty physically demanding job (healthcare worker) so im moving and lifting heavy things for 9 hours straight 5 days a week. if you need more background info, id be happy to provide.

so with all of that out of the way: do you REALLY think im burning over 3000 calories a day? or is it wellknown that the calorie tracking thing isnt always the most accurate? or possibly i set something up incorrectly? its not a key feature i use, but its absolutely baffling to me considering i only eat 1.5-1.8k cals a day anyways, and im apparently burning double. it is worth mentioning that i HAVE lost nearly 40lbs within the past 6 months due to various lifestyle changes.

any input or help would be much appreciated!!! thank you kindly 🙂

The most important setting is your weight.  Then calorie burn is based primarily on your heart rate.  Take a look at your heart rate readings or the daily heart rate chart to see if they seem to be reading much higher than what you think they really are. If not, I see not reason not to believe it.
Ftbit does include your BMR (basal metabolic rate) calorie burn, the calories you are always burning just to stay alive, breathing, heart pumping, etc. These normally account for more than half of daily calorie burn, and are credited these even when you don't wear the watch.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
