I got my Charge 6 today, charged it, and upgraded the Fitbit app, the device shows in the app but cannot pair. Turned off/on the Bluetooth and retried no difference. On Charge 6 nothing changes and displays download the Fitbit app. I reconnected my Charge 4 and it is working fine. Any pointers on what else I can try?

The most frustrating thing to me is that at one time Fitbit was a very good product.
Unfortunately, that time seems to have passed.
Fitbit and Google, please review the product history and problems users are having. Try to correct.
Please don’t let Fitbit and the Charge 6 go to the trash bin of history.

Hello @MelvinMok
Since you've tried the recommended troubleshooting steps without success, the next step is to contact Support (<-- click link). Complete the prompts until you get the option to chat or call. Depending on how long you've had your Charge 6, you might have options under warranty.

Was having the common difficulty of not being able to pair my new Charge 6 to my Google Pixel 8A phone. Follow this advice and it worked but I would note that waiting 5-seconds for the middle push for me did not restart the Charge 6 for me, it was more like 3 seconds. So sequence that worked for me:
Hope this is useful to others as this seems to be a very common problem

I tried everything. Rebooting the smartphone, the charge 6, re-installing the fit bit app. When I tried to add de charge 6 into the app it says that something went wrong and the 4 digits stood in the watch for a while...
This is happening since the last fit bit app upgrade...

Hello @mlpereira
Just to let you know, there was an outage yesterday (12 Jun 2025) that affected several Google products & services, including Fitbit. The outage was resolved later in the afternoon. Yesterday's outage could have been a factor causing the problems you were experiencing yesterday.
Please let us know if you tried pairing your Charge 6 with your phone later in the day yesterday or today and if you were successful.

My Charge 6 sync broke on June 9 — 3 days before the reported Fitbit outage on June 12. So clearly this isn’t related to that issue.
Fitbit support is dead.

Hi @ShellarI and @RiekoC
I kept digging a bit more into my phone settings and found out that the
Bluetooth firmware could be updated manually. I went ahead and updated the
Bluetooth firmware on my Xiaomi, and right after that, I was able to pair
my Fitbit successfully.
I suggest Fitbit adds a note in the app's troubleshooting section
recommending users to check for Bluetooth firmware updates on their phones.
On Xiaomi devices, for example, Bluetooth updates are not installed
automatically.

I have followed these instructions for times. The charge six shows as being connected under Bluetooth in my iPhone settings, but the Fitbit connection keeps giving me an error message and is not linking my data to my Fitbit app. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app twice. What else can I do?

Try disabling wifi on your phone and using mobile data instead. My Fitbit devices refused to pair or sync when I was connected to my home wifi network, but works if I use mobile data only.
