I got up this morning to find my new Charge 6 had a blank screen and was unresponsive. App had not data from about 3:50am.
I put the device on charge and it did not respond, tried again later after leaving on charge for about 20 minutes, still no response, so did the 3 button press 1 second reset routine. Device woke up and battery was showing 35% and clock indicated a shutdown time of 3:53am.
I have had something similar with my Charge 5 when the battery died in the middle of the night!
My question is, was this a battery drained issue? Is there anyway I can see a history of battery charge level data?
My Charge 6 arrived on Friday, was charged to 100% about 2pm that day. I did a 30 minute run on Saturday (dynamic GPS, but appeared to be connected to the phone's GPS), a 30 minute walk using Google maps on Sunday and 90 minutes yoga on Monday. A few Google payments from the device and only taken off to shower.
So roughly 3.6 days of relatively normal usage. I would have expected 5 days minimum. Also, I didn't receive any low battery warning - probably as device doesn't routinely sync over night. As there is no longer a battery % displayed in the app, and only on the scroll down screen on the device, it's hard to tell when it needs charging.

That seems like a quick discharge. Do you have screen set to 'Always On'?
Mine was delivered on Thursday 19th October and after a full charge around lunchtime still has 43% battery remaining.
There are a few things I don't like about the Charge 6, but battery life isn't one of them it's phenomenal.

Battery life on the Charge 5 was great, so am expecting the same with the Charge 6.
I don't think this was battery related now as it just died again and I had to repeat the re-start process. Battery was at 97% this time.
Also, can see live heart rate in the app and steps going up, but sync ar goes all the way across and then sticks as if sync can't fully complete. Has the force stop the app in phone's settings to resolve this issue.

Mine has done very similar today but I know it had battery left. Have charged it just in case. It vibrates when I push the side buttone but screen is dead. It did display the Fitbit logo before the screen disappeared. You can change to the battery life display by clicking on the date section of the clock face, it scrolls through different displays

Probably worth contacting customer support to see if you got a dud.

I agree, it is now two nights in a row and high battery drain last night. So time to get a replacement I think.

This happened to my Charge 5, but I haven't been able to get it to turn back on again at all. Must be something wrong with the new Charge 6 too

My Charge 6 battery died over night from a 100% charge yesterday. So waiting to hear from others.

Exactly the same thing happened to me last night. The device is charging now, but why would it be completely depleted in one night while I was sleeping?

I just got a brand new 6 as well and first two nights battery drained entirely when it had >95% and was in dim/sleep mode

I was able to restore my fitbit by leaving it on the charger. Battery was completely drained and it had to be on the charger for quite a while before it came back to life.
Overall I'm pretty convinced the Charge 6 has a software bug that randomly drains the battery. Seems to mostly happen at night when the user is not moving much

@DavidNS what options do you have on durring sleep? Do you use GPS durring the day? It is recommended to top off the battery after use of GPS

I have everything set up as I did with my Charge 5, so sleep mode active. I got a replacement Charge 6, set up the same way and have not had any issues. I think that there was some sort of quality control issue. I didn't think it was GPS related.
There may also be some softwear bugs, for example GPS on walks does not respect the setting on the watch if set to dynamic. So I can't rule out. But the replacement preforms as my 5bdid. So no more complaints from me.

Same here and mostly in the past few weeks - no issue from early December until maybe late January and now averaging once a week, usually shortly after charging, in the past 3 weeks. I've also had it lock up, not respond to the reset procedure, but wake up (not discharged) after several minutes on the charger. But other than these quick discharge times the drain typically is under 20% per day (6-7 days between charges). I've been hoping for a firmware update that addresses this.

The battery of my Charge 6 is draining fast as well. I have to recharge once per day even and the next morning shows less than 20%. I change the GPS to the phone and turn the always-on off. Is it a DOA?

Not sure but once after I did a hard reset on mine, the battery performance improved.

Hi, how did you do the hard reset? I pressed the button for 15+ sec and nothing happened....
