I got a notification from my Firbit app that I had spent the last 30 minutes swimming when in all actuality I just spent the last 30 minutes folding laundry.

Hello @jahobw and welcome to the Community.  You are not alone.  Users post about this from time to time.  The accelerometer in a Fitbit "sees what it sees" and analyzes the data.  You can set your Fitbit to ignore this:

  • Tap on your gear icon/profile picture in the upper right
  • Tap on Activity & Wellness
  • Tap on Exercise
  • Select Swimming and toggle it Off
