Hello @Hannahamym
Did you let your Charge 6 try to auto-recognize the workout? Did you see the workout start & end on your Charge 6? Did you use the handrails during your treadmill workout?
I've seen other users report that their Fitbit devices didn't auto-track their treadmill workouts. In those cases, it was recommended to manually start & stop the workout session.
You can manually add your workout to the Fitbit app:

Since google took over, my Fitbit Charge 6 hasn’t synced once. My Fitbit was new in June 2024 and it’s pretty much just a glorified time piece now. I have tried everything to get it to work correctly and it’s useless.

Hello @Pidge14
I'm not sure that I understand your post. Google acquired Fitbit in 2021. The Charge 6 was released October 2023.
Please help us understand what syncing issues you're having with your Charge 6. I know there are currently issues on Fitbit's side that are impacting multiple functions. If you let us know what you're seeing, we can let you know if it's due to a Fitbit issue or recommend troubleshooting steps to try.

I got a new Charge6 in June 2024 (I’ve had different Fitbit's since they came out) & I wasn’t asked to switch over my account to google until August 2024. After going through all the steps to setup through google, no exercises would sync and it no longer automatically recognizes any form of exercise. If I go in to my phone and manually track, it shows the gps route, but that’s it.
I know I’m not explaining it correctly, but I hope this helps.

Hello @Pidge14
Thank you for sharing the details. I'm surprised that you weren't required to migrate your Fitbit account to Google when you activated the Charge 6, as everything I've read said this was a requirement.
There is currently an issue on the Fitbit side that is affecting exercise tracking and syncing between Fitbit devices and the app. On top of that, there's another issue that affects our ability to edit a completed workout. Both are known issues and the team is working on fixing them. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a timeline for a fix.
For now, there isn't any troubleshooting for us to do. I understand the frustration as there are a lot of us that are dealing with these (and other) issues. Hopefully, it won't take too much longer for the problems to be fixed.

It is now March 2025 and I have same issue, any exercise I log through the app is deleted once move from the map back to the main screen.
I then have to try and log the exercise manually which has its own problems.
What is the point of the Fitbit if it cannot track exercise.
Another one those incurable Fitbit issues.
