I have had three Charge devices fail in just over a year. Two lasted around 6 months, and the last one didn't even make June and July this year. I told Fitbit support that I wanted to return it and get my money back—they said they would escalate the case. I went and bought a new Charge 6 because what is the point in having a Premium account if you are without the device for weeks on end?
Google FItbit support refused to help as they said I bought it on the Google Store - Google Fitbit Store refused to help. I guess they think if they continue to frustrate me, I will just go on forking out another £100 every few months.
I could understand it breaking if I was doing dangerous things, but I am a 71-year-old man who does yoga and qi gong, goes on a cross-trainer, and occasionally sleeps. Is that too stressful for a Fitbit device?

I am not enjoying my Charge 6 adventure with support either. My charge 6 died in about 6 months also. Those us of with years of fitbit experience don't need the "help for dummies" Resistance is futile, we will be assimilated into regular replacement. Too bad. 🤣 Fortunately I'm not paying for poor premium service also. Conceptually I think everyone means well.

To make matters worse, I just earned my "9-year badge" as part of the Fitbit community. I have been a loyal Google user for years - I have Nest, Pixel, smoke alarms - I have even made games for the Playstore. Feel really let down.

Today I called customer service and got an agent right away. I reported my Case ID # and the agent reviewed my previous support efforts log. A few quick follow up questions and my Charge 6 will be replaced under warranty. However as you mention we lose 2-3 weeks minumum for these failure events to be made right. I have 10 years of Fitbit data and prefer to move ahead again. My "opinion" is that perspiration is a contributing factor many times as discussed with my family fitbit users. I am also looking at an alternate brand device that is much cheaper and highly rated as a "backup" so I can at least track my daily events and goals when in limbo with Fitbit I would keep after Fitbit (Google) about warranty replacement. That does not seem right that you have to eat a fitbit product that fails that quickly. Best Wishes.

My case still shows active for replacement processing after 2 weeks. How long should I expect to wait for the return package for my dead charge 6?
