My heart rate looks high even when I'm relaxed and sitting. It shows around 105bpm when I'm on bed. This doesn't look right to me. I can see that people have raised similar issues for older versions. Is anyone facing similar issues? I'm going to get a medical checkup regardless.

One way to be sure is to check your HR with another device. You can get HR O2 finger monitors fairly cheap these days. Additionally, some phones have fairly decent HR measuring features just using an app and the camera+flash.
Regarding the charge 6, it is more responsive and much more accurate than the sense 2, particularly at high heart rates that the sense 2 regularly failed to record.

Are you wearing the band tight enough? A loose band may give artificially high HR reading ( at least this happened with Charge 4, and was documented somewhere on these forums).

@Bnath have you verified it against another HR monitor?

I used a cheap HR monitor from a friend, which shows low HR as expected. I suspect something is wrong with Fitbit.

Looks like it. I'm sure you know how to wear a Fitbit to monitor your HR. I've checked mine against a decent finger monitor and it's very accurate - moreso than the Sense 2 I has, and quicker to detect changes. You've definitely got grounds for fault reporting, and in the UK, you'll definitely be entitled to replacement or refund.

Not sure if this is the same issue but mine is exceptionally high when exercising…above 179 when it actually is between 110 and 125 as measured through other devices…frustrating

Same issue with my Charge 6. But as I'm doing the exercise, it's accurate, but when my exercise is over it shows a much higher heart rate.

Mine also gives a slightly higher reading, I currently monitor my blood pressure twice a day with a good blood pressure monitor, that always gives a lower heart rate, but during sleep my heart rate comes right down. This might be something to do with having fairly chunky wrists and wanting to have some circulation to my hand.
If you are concerned about your heart rate then it a good idea to get it checked by a proffessional.

Hi Everybody. Good to see you participating in the forums.
Thank you for sharing the details regarding this concern.
In case the device would provide an incorrect reading of heart rate, I'd recommend you try restarting the device again using the three pulse restart method mentioned here below, instead of the restart option found on the Charge 6 itself:
In addition, please follow the instructions in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information and check the information mentioned here about other factors that could affect your heart rate reading, this has been useful to other users who have experienced something similar.

Mine is giving me readings, 2 nights in a row, well I'm relaxing saying my heart rate is over 200

Yes, my Fitbit readings are terribly high >200. It says I’m in the vigorous zone for 20 hours yesterday. Scary. I did restart it on the charger, using the usb button ( push 3 x). Now it’s about 100 for all day, better but still not right. Will attempt to restart again using the method mentioned. Again.

Yes, I tried this and it cut my rates from >200 to <100. More normal range. Thank you

I'm having a similar problem, it reads my heart rate as 200, but checking with my phone heart rate ao gives a normal reading. It's definitely not too loose.

Mine does the same just sitting and hr says 200 then back down to 56. Pretty sure it’s the Fitbit. My sense 2 doesn’t do that ever

2025 Update:
The issue is still there after updates.
This is a serious issue, as heart rate monitoring is one of the main reasons people buy fitness trackers.
Fitbit really needs to get this fixed with a software update because it's misleading and can cause unnecessary stress.
