My heart rate looks high even when I'm relaxed and sitting. It shows around 105bpm when I'm on bed. This doesn't look right to me. I can see that people have raised similar issues for older versions. Is anyone facing similar issues? I'm going to get a medical checkup regardless.

I totally agree. As an older adult, I use my Charge 6 to monitor my HR when determining my pace on a treadmill so I don’t have to keep my hands on the machine monitors (who knows how accurate they are). Several times while maintaining the same pace, the HR has suddenly jumped up by 20 or more then droppped back down. Then it has done the same in the opposite direction. According to the machine monitors, fluctuations are only 1-3 BPM. If I trust my Charge 6 reading, it is indeed very disturbing. Accurate HR monitoring during exercise was one of my reasons for going from a 5 to a 6. If I can’t trust it, then it’s just a watch with a plastic strap.

Yeah the Charge 6 is trash mate. I've been to the Cardiologist twice because of it. He told me to throw all Fitbits in the bin. He is seeing so many Fitbit related patients with the same stress and anxiety.

I had same problems. But, when I wore it very high up my wrist (arm) I got much more accurate readings. Rick

I could have written your reply - same expectations about upgrading, same experience and disappointment. I’d also say that it hasn’t even been predictably wrong (as I’m assuming). More recently it’s seemed to be more accurate, but I have no idea why and so still have no confidence in it. I replaced the sweaty rubber strap with Velcro closure woven ones that may have helped.
