Charge 6 is showing a 213 HR tracking

Hi all fellow fitbitters! Ive been enjoying my charge 6 for 1.5 years without any issues untill today. Was sitting and relaxing in the living room - then checked my fitbit app and boom it said that i have had a heart rate of 213 just 10 minutes prior to me checking the app.

Anyone experinced this or should I call my doctor tomorrow?

Hello there @Tolman, welcome to the Fitbit Community.

I'm truly happy to see you are enjoying your Charge 6 so far, let's get back to business!

First of all, that measurement is sick haha! Definitely you're not getting that high heart rate. This might be an issue with the sensors on the band. Have you tried to restart the device? If not, try following the steps described here.

If you have any concerns at all about your heart rate or any other symptoms you are experiencing, it is always a good idea to contact a doctor.

Thanks for the reply!

Its "back to normal" was only in the 200s for a couple of minutes but i just didnt know if it was a "sensor problem" or a "heart problem" haha.

Ill try to reset the device anyways. 🙂

Thank you, and have a great day.

This is a known, and serious, error with the C6 and is causing people all sorts of anxiety.

I did a post about this the other day but no one responded:

These errors are all over the Reddit and FB community pages.

Hey @agrifab @Linz16, thanks a lot for the heads up, let's see what I can do for you!

Let's start from the beginning and go through a few simple steps. Please follow these instructions:

  1. Review the Wear & Care tips found in this article.

  2. Turn the heart rate (HR) setting off using the instructions in this article.

  3. Restart your device.

  4. Turn the heart rate (HR) setting back on.

On both days it also dips to the low 50s afterwards... I really dont want to use the watch if its unrealible. As others have mentioned, it creates unnecessary anxiety.

Did you try the 'clear user data' routine I mentioned in my separate post (linked above)?

The steps suggested by @EstuardoFitbit above will not work. I tried all that multiple times and it wasn't until I was finally told about the 'clear data' thing that my device stopped doing this. It's been almost three weeks now with no glitches so I'm hoping it's resolved.

It's terrible that Google acknowledge this is an issue yet are very casual about it like it's a minor fault. It's causing people to have unnecessary medical investigations. If it's a known bug it should be fixed, or at the very least every user emailed with the instructions on how to stop this.
