I was bought a charge 6 for Christmas to try to monitor my movement etc. However, my daily steps are registering far higher than my actual steps. I've set mg stride length and my dominant arm in the settings. When I'm at rest, I do a lot of crocheting and I'm wondering if this could be registering. If so, is there a workaround as I don't want to have to remove my watch then replace it everything I start and stop my crocheting. Any ideas please.

Crocheting is probably being detected as steps, as often is any regular rhythmic wrist movement. One thought just came to me is to try loosening band and sliding up forearm as much as possible to where less movement while knitting/chrocheting to see if that helps, but maybe just as easy to take it off. Otherwise only option is to take it off. Incidentally stride length has no effect there; it is used just to convert step count to distance.
However, calorie burn is based on heart rate and is not affected by step count, so even if step count is way off, that would not affect calorie burn.
