Charge 6 keeps saying battery low

I recently just bought a charge 6 and I trying charge it and it not charging and keeps saying battery low I try using my  USB outlet and laptop USB ports and other chargers to see if it will charge but it not wanting to charge thinking I got a faulty charge 6.

Can you please check something for me?  On the back of the device, you'll see a series of gold spots.  These are called contacts.  Can you please make sure these are clean?

Also, on the charger itself, you'll notice that there's a set of gold prongs on the base of the charger.  These are called ports.  Can you make sure that these are clean as well?

The device will need about 2 hours to charge.  Both the ports and the contacts need to be clean so that they have a strong connection while charging.
