I've had my Charge 6 for about three months.
I use it to track my workouts – lifting weights in the gym, running, climbing, etc. Today, suddenly all my non-walking activities/workouts started disappearing from the Fitbit app. As I moved back through the weeks, they would briefly appear and disappear. I have now lost weeks of workouts. However, bizarrely, all the walking activities remain!
I went to the gym today, tracked the workout as usual by starting the activity on the watch, completed the workout, and synched the Fitbit with my phone. The workout just disappeared, and Fitbit said I had 0 exercise for the day. I just went for a walk and it logged the walk perfectly.
I have tried updating the Fitbit, restarting the Fitbit, restarting my phone, looking on the browser dashboard on my laptop. Nothing. I just want to log my workouts!
Can anyone help or advise?

Thank you kind stranger! Unfortunately I am still experiencing issues. I also had an issue with Thursday and Friday completely disappearing from the app as another user reported.
Maybe the most annoying thing for me is that since the last update, my Fitbit is constantly detecting "walks" after like five minutes of walking and goes into tracking mode, even though I have it set not to. It drains the battery and it's just annoying having it buzzing away on my wrist and not displaying the time normally.
I hope this all gets sorted, but honestly for me Fitbit was good because it was so simple and easy you could almost forget about it most of the time. This is so annoying and the lack of any public communication from Fitbit is particularly weird in 2024.

Twice in the past two weeks, exercise days were completly deleted from my app, after they were already shown before.so for example, all of my exercise from Wed got deleted and the app is just disregarding this day completley, as in saying that i exercised 5 out of 5 days this week (since it is Sat, there has been already 6 days this week...)
Why there are ao many problems with the app recently?

Also. Other exercises were deleted on other days...

I’m having the same issue this week with disappearing exercise days despite active minutes and steps showing, haven’t seen this problem before. Agree that app feels increasingly less reliable. I’ve been using Fitbit for many years but if the reliability doesn’t improve gonna need to rethink that, bummer.

thanks for checking that , sorry to do this again need to make sure i'm clear i'll try and be short. My charge 6 will AUTO detect and show on app afterwards like designed.. But when I start and end the exercise manually from the tracker it will show on tracker afterwards with the details accuratly then it goes away ,only place it shows is on the tracker wheel cog for completed days of the week on tracker not app. The only way I have found to get it to show on app is I have to get the precise start/stop times of the exercise and manully ener it on the APP using the + button (manually log) start and how long and it will show only then . Is that how the charge 6 is designed ? I hope not or is it as you mentioned above after the webAPI is fixed it will transfer? I've spent so many hours trying to figure this out before using this platform crazy. Anyway and it you could clarify this for me I would be so greatful

Hello @tkeran
That isn't the way the Charge 6 is supposed to work. Your exercise data should show in the app no matter if the Charge 6 auto detected your workout or if you started & ended your workout manually. I prefer to manually start & stop my workouts since, in the past, my device hasn't always recognized that I'm exercising.
The issue with the Exercise data showing up in the Fitbit app appears to be related to the Web API issue. It's not anything that you are doing.

Hello @daralp @MelodiG @nicove
There's an issue on the Fitbit side.
I looked at the Fitbit Status Dashboard website and saw that there was an issue with the Web API starting around the beginning of September. This impacts data syncing and is apparently the reason why we're having problems with seeing our exercise data in the Fitbit app. The current status is still showing the Web API issue as of today, 07 Sep 2024. So, they must still be working on fixing the problem.
Please be patient. I'll keep checking the status daily. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before it's fixed and we see all our exercise data again.

You're welcome @Seokten.
I checked this morning and Status dashboard still shows there's an issue with the Web API. ☹️

Any updates on this matter? I literally searched for this thread and created an account here just to ask. My Charge 6 hasn't been updating my daily workouts since Tuesday. It is very frustrating and has really dampened by spirit regarding exercise because the fitbit numbers/data keeps me motivated. For instance, I ran 4 miles on Wednesday and I can't even see my time/pace 😭 I hope they get this fixed soon because so much of my past data is also missing!

Hi, I contacted fitbit on Wednesday evening explained I had tried everything to get data back. Restart, sign in amd out etc. By the time they had replied my data came back. Their reply wasn't great juat said try and force stop the app! Which I had already done. I asked why there is constant issues with the charge 6 and they said they couldn't give me any information. 🙄. My data is still there at the time of writing this, Sunday morning here in Uk so it's been back for 5 days now.

I started having issues yesterday. Went for a run and it didn't sync from my watch to my phone. Now I can't even see the Exercise widget on the dasbboard at all. Just been stuck in a loading animation for the past 24 hours.

A couple of more day of the week labels disappeared before all of them reappearing today. But none of the workout data from last week has been restored. This is the longest a glitch has lasted without repair.

Just adding that I have the same issue here.
I never had any problems with my Charge 2 or Charge 4 (just that after 2-3 years the battery life was gone, but that is to be expected), but the Charge 6 has been a nightmare. I bought one last December and was shocked that the altimeter had been removed. That Charge 6 bricked itself in June after a swim. I got a replacement one that also died in August after a swim. [The Charge 6 claims to track swimming, and I always put it in water-protection mode. I don't wear it in the shower, just the pool and lake.] The newest replacement from 1.5 weeks ago is syncing sleep and heart rate well but not any type of exercise (neither planned nor auto-detected; no walks, hikes, runs, swims, Pilates, elliptical, etc.). It seems from reading this thread that it might be a software rather than a hardware issue, but I am beyond frustrated. What use is a fitness tracker that doesn't track any workouts? Isn't Google supposed to be a good software company?
I have restarted my tracker and my phone, updated the software, turned Bluetooth on and off, etc.
