Charge 6 not reacting after swimming

I swam on Tuesday and since then it won’t work, it charges but doesn’t show the time, show any of my stats, won’t sync and doesn’t respond on double tapping nor pushing the side button

Hi there @Rachelbiddle! Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Thank you so much for letting us know about this situation and for all your efforts.

Can you please check if there's visible condensation on the back of your Charge 6?

I suggest you try to do the following:

  • Clean the contacts of the watch with a toothbrush and fresh water and gently clean the pins on the charging cable with a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol.
  • After that, charge the watch for 30 minutes using a different USB port on a computer or other UL-certified wall charger.
  • You can read this article too: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

Hi there. I also recently swam for the first time while wearing my charge 6. I thought it wouldn't be a problem as it says it is water resistant to 50m. Nothing vigorous more of a float in the river on a hot day. Now there is absolutely no sign of life in my fitbit and I can see droplets of moisture inside the sensors on the back. Of course it is 5 weeks over the NZ warranty period of 12 months. Any suggestions?
