Yeah it is weird. I mean we still get the notifications on our watch and can reply etc. However the vibration function is completely bugged. It will not vibrate my watch when i get a text message through Google messages as long as i use rcs chats. If i downgrade my chats to regular sms chats my watch will vibrate and act as normal, but i can't get read receipts or even know if a message i sent actually sent unless i use rcs chats. So i have to pick which is more important. However, even on sms chats, my wife's watch will not vibrate even though our settings are identical. We have android phones which are also owned by Google so basically my Google watch doesn't play well with my Google phone when i use Google messages! How ridiculous is that? Lol
