Charge 6 not showing up on child's phone app

My child (14yrs old) was given the Charge 6. We setup up the fitbit app, but the Charge 6 is not showing up when we tap on add devices on my child's phone. Is there a way to get the app/phone to connect to the fitbit?

Hello @Mel73 and welcome to the Community.  Do you use Google Family Link?  If so, your child needs their own Google account to setup a Charge 6.
