Hi. Oh i do hope someone can help. Im a tad doddery and lack concentration due to health issues. I am really struggling. My fitbit says it's connected to another device and my bluetooth says an app is needed to pair with this device. It all worked grand up until early this morning, but I didn't notice it until this afternoon. Now it's late, I'm knackered and hot and a bit cross. So, I'm going to go to sleep and hope someone knows what the heck is going on.
Many thanks for reading my plea.

Hello @Starling61, welcome back to the community!
I'm truly sorry to hear you're currently having a hard time; what you've mentioned sounds definitely something difficult to face. Let's try to get this resolved straight away.
Based on what you have mentioned, it sounds like your device somehow got disconnected from the app and lost all connection with it. To solve this situation, make sure to remove the device from the Bluetooth settings on your phone.
Once you are done with that, go to the Fitbit app and try to set up the device once again. You can follow the instructions here.

Hi Eduardo.
First, my apologies for not responding sooner to your response.
I became a Granny for the first time an hour after posting and a month earlier than expected!
Anyway, whilst sitting up awaiting news from my son I fiddled about and did manage to fix the issue. I have no clue which thing I did that worked but it was probably along the lines you suggest here.
So, now I've a beautiful, healthy granddaughter and a functioning fitbit! Now if someone could find the cure for fibromyalgia, that would the holy trinity for me!!
Many thanks again Eduardo.
Meg 👋
