Hello @Renhart and welcome to the Community.  I'm sorry, but the Charge 6 doesn't have an altimeter, the hardware that counts floors.

Thanks, I did just go online and saw that it is not included with the six, even though my charge 4 and 5 had it. This is very disappointing as a stair workout is part of my daily routine. I guess I should have just bought an Apple Watch instead.

Had the same experience- thought i was upgrading from a Charge 4 to a Charge 6, and get less features.  Looking at apple watches now.

Your charge five does not track stairs. What do you think is a five is not.

I came here it find out what was wrong with my new 6. I can’t believe it doesn’t count the stairs. I wouldn’t have got it if I knew that. So disappointing.

On the box, stair count is not listed as a feature of the Charge 6. Charge 4 was the last Charge model with stair count. The decision is based on real estate. Probably also with the many complaints on the inaccuracies of floor counts.

I'm getting rid of the Charge 6.  It does not record floors, a major part of my activity.
