Charge 6 not tracking floors

I just bought a new Fitbit Charger 6 a few weeks ago. My house have stairs but my fitbit doesn't recognize when I use them, it doesn't recognize when I workout or even run. Some other data, like readiness work one day and not the next day. I restart the fitbit, the phone and still nothing. Should I return it?

Hello @Franchie03

The Charge 6 doesn't have an altimeter which is what is needed to track floors. The altimeter was removed from the Charge line starting with the Charge 5. If this is a feature that you need, you will have to look at a different Fitbit.

The Daily Readiness score can be finicky, especially during the first few weeks. I think it took almost 3 weeks for my Daily Readiness score to start showing consistently.

I'm not sure why your Charge 6 isn't recognizing your workouts, including runs. Have you tried manually tracking a workout to see if that works?

Hi,

Tank you  for your response. That is too bad about the stairs tracking. The icon should be remove to avoid confusion.

I can manually enter my workout, however that make the Fitbit obsolete.

I will stay patient for the redines, maybe workout will kick in too. If not, I will return it.

Thank you

Hello @Franchie03

Would you please let me know what icon you saw for the Charge 6 that indicated that it supported stairs tracking? Also, where did you see this? A link would be helpful.

Hi Reiko. I saw the stair icon on Fitbit app, right after I link it my phone.

I hope that helps

Hi @Franchie03 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me explain to you why you see the floors icon on the Fitbit app. Hi @RiekoC, thank you for your help!

Some Fitbit devices do track floors climbed and since there's just one fitbit app version that syncs with different models of Fitbit devices, it's needed to include the floors climbed icon on the app. I appreciate your understanding.

I hope this information will be helpful. Have a nice day!
