Charge 6 not uploading GPS runs to Strava since FW

Hi all,

Since my Fitbit Charge 6 had a firmware update in August (66.20001 .210.26), it hasn't synced my GPS runs recorded through Fitbit onto my Strava account.

I've tried removing and reconnecting my accounts over 10 times, reinstalling the apps multiple times. I'm only recording runs through Fitbit, not Strava at the same time.

The only way I can get the runs onto Strava currently is to upload the recorded TCX file manually. I don't want to keep doing that.

Anyone else having this issue, or is it known by the developers? It's really frustrating having this happen.

Hello @Joborule

According to the Fitbit Status Dashboard, there was an service disruption for the Web API that started around the beginning of September 2024. This service disruption affected syncing and data discrepancies between 3rd party apps and Fitbit.

As of yesterday (20 Sep 2024), the Fitbit Status Dashboard no longer shows a service disruption for the Web API. Hopefully, this means you should see your Fitbit exercise data sync properly to your Strava account, if not today, then very soon.

Hi,

I did a run today, and it still hasn't synced properly. Hopefully this isn't the case still next week

Hello @Joborule

Thank you for your update and letting us know that your run didn't sync properly.

I know there have been recent multiple issues on the Fitbit side that has resulted in many problems. As far as I know, not all the issues have been fixed yet.

I'll keep monitoring and will report back if I learn of any further updates.

Hello @Joborule

There's an update for the Android Fitbit app, ver 4.26.1, that started rolling out today, 25 Sep 2024. I got the update this morning. At least 1 user reported that the iOS Fitbit app update started rolling out yesterday (24 Sep 2024). Although I haven't seen confirmation, I'm hoping that this update fixes the syncing issues.

The app updates tend to rollout in waves. If you don't see the update right away, keep checking.

Hello @Joborule

Thank you for confirming that you're on version 4.26.1.

I'm seeing other users also reporting that they are still having syncing issues after the latest update. I'll keep checking on updates for the syncing issues and will report back if I learn anything.
