I always try to get myself a new watch strap as I hate the look of the plastic ones from Fitbit. But I'm on my third now for Charge 6 and they simply fall off! Is this a design fault of the Fitbit or the straps? Very annoying 😑😒

Are they genuine Fitbit straps or 3rd party?
I've used 3rd party straps on my Charge 5 (same straps as Charge 6) and never had any issues, but cheaper straps may not work properly.

Presume they're 3rd party but actual Fitbit straps are all silicone (I think?) I don't like plastic so prefer to get a leather strap. They're not cheap!

@Freebic
Not all Fitbit straps are silicone, there are Hook & Loop, Vegan Leather, Premium
Horween Leather Bands and Woven bands. Go here and look for Charge 6 & Charge Accessories.
And there are several excellent bands available on other sites.

Hi @Freebic - I went from a Charge 5 to the 6, and I had 3rd-party cloth elastic bands that I bought for the 5. I expected they'd work with the 6, since I saw accessories sold that indicated fitting both. That wasn't entirely the case - my bands wouldn't stay connected in the top end of the 'pebble'. The connection at the bottom was solid, though.
After some trial and error, I found that I could make the top end connection stay connected by holding the band end into the unit and pushing the release latch the opposite direction (toward the middle) until it clicked. Works for me every time, but some folks I have suggested this to can't get it to work. I hope it helps you!

Hello @Freebic
If the strap that came with your Charge 6 doesn't stay on, it could be that the latching mechanism on your device might be defective. Is it just one side that doesn't stay on?
Like @gdio53 , I use a 3rd party strap for my Charge 5 and haven't had any issues with it coming loose.
You probably should contact Fitbit support (<-- click link) if the strap that you got with your Charge 6 doesn't stay on. They will help if the strap that won't stay on is a genuine Fitbit strap.

Thanks, I took a look. Terrible selection, don't like any of them and they're overpriced

Yes just one side won't stay on. I've tried 3. I think it's a design fault, but of the Fitbit or the strap?

Hi @Freebic
It sounds like there's an issue with the latching mechanism on the one side of your Charge 6. You should contact Fitbit support (<-- click link) about the issue.
