Charge 6's GPS not being accurate

I purchased my Fitbit from Target in May of 2024. It started out great with no issues. It was tracking my five mile walks every day. Around mid-August, I noticed a discrepancy in the distance I was walking vs. what the GPS/watch was then tracking. Currently, I walk on a 1.2 mile walking path during my lunch. The GPS tracks this distance between .8 and .9 miles depending on the day. This is very frustrating and I am hoping there is something I can do to improve this issue. If not, this is my third Fitbit in as many years. They have all been such short-term devices, I am going to have to move on to a different product at this point. Very frustrating and disappointing.
