I keep getting an icon appear at the top of my watch screen on the charge 6 it’s a phone with a slash through it. Any ideas what this means and how do I get rid of it please ? Only recently started to happen and no ideas why ?

Hi @Trilgal, no I just went to Settings->Apps->Fitbit->Location and set it to "Always". I did not need to keep the Fitbit app open at all times.

@Julie4mc That is happening me too and ironically, my charge 6 is also not holding a charge.
I’ve had a few Fitbit models and there’s always some issue that’s being worked on but doesn’t seem to ever get resolved. Your post was made in March and mine is made mid June and the issue still persists. I really like Fitbit but am considering buying a device from a different manufacturer and only using the Fitbit to track sleep.

This has been happening every few days for the last week or so, then it tends to get stuck on the fit it logo, takes several tries of the charger button reset trick to get it back to normal, I had no issues with my charge 6 for the first year, then in the last few weeks all the problems started.

I have exactly the same experience! Several returns later and still the same issue. I went to a fitbit inspire 3 and have the same issue. I simply give up!! When my inspire gives out I will not purchase another Fitbit. It's just nonsense that they have these issues and no fixes!!

I've been having the same issues with my Charge 6 since I switched from a Samsung Galaxy to an iPhone. I've had the Charge 6 since January 2024. I've done everything - unpair, uninstall, reinstall, pair, clear data, forget Bluetooth, nothing was working!
Unfortunately, the best I've been able to come up with is to never close the FitBit app. I haven't figured out if there's a "running in the background" feature for apps on iPhone yet, but as someone who hates leaving apps open, I've had to remember not to close FitBit ever.
Not a great workaround but it's been working for now.

I took your suggestion and it worked for a few days. I have not set up nor do I use Google Wallet but the phone disconnect icon is showing under Google Wallet, so I restarted the device and the battery went from 56% to 14%.
I’ve owned 3 Fitbit models and all have had issues that are being worked on but never resolved. Google needs to do better.
