Charge 6 stopped syncing

Earlier today, Charge 6 sync'ed jyst fine, and charged just fine.

now, hourly activity has been "stuck" on 7 steps for three hours (I've walked about 3000 steps since), fitbit will not sync, not will it charge.  Although the iPhone says they're connected, it also really lost bluetooth pairing, and keeps saying to make sure devices are nearby, and turned on.

I did nothing to it in the meantime to make any of these things happen/fail.

Hello there @alr3, welcome back to the Fitbit Community!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to share this issue with us; I'd love to help you out!

My first thought regarding the behavior you've mentioned is that perhaps your app is outdated. We are currently running app version 4.47. You can see all the details here.

Hi @EstuardoFitbit I have the same problem as @alr3  I bought my new Fitbit charge 6 a few days ago and it was working well until 5 hours ago that it stopped syncing.

I checked my Fitbit app version and it is up to date. I reset my fitbit, I uninstalled and installed again the app, I disconnected and connected the Bluetooth a few times, my app is only paired with my Fitbit and no other devices. I have tried everything and still it isn't syncing.

Is there anything else we can do??

Thank you

I have had issues with my Charge 6 syncing since May.  I have tried all of the recommendations on fitbit help numerous times.  No resolution.   At times, it will display that I have taken 3 steps when have walked my dog several times (average 400 steps per walk).  If I do not get this resolved soon, I am going to vendor and post these issuse so other buyers are aware.

Hello @Pepegirl @AuxiC, I hope you guys enjoy your time around the Community!

I understand your concerns about the syncing issue you are experiencing with your Charge 6; let's try a few more things.

Since this issue can have a variety of causes, I'd recommend trying the list of steps described here. You will find that the steps will vary between Android and iOS phones, so make sure you follow the appropriate ones for you.

I have tried that list of steps more than three times.  The number of steps still will not sync.  For a numbers of hour, the app continues to display zero steps while my device has recorded 2535 steps.  Obviously there is an issue with syncing data.  It appears that Google acquisition of fitbit brand is most likely the issue.

Hey there @Pepegirl, thanks for getting back to me, let's keep working!

Considering that your Fitbit device has already been quite some time without syncing, there is a chance that your device is not connected to your phone anymore.

In that case, we need to perform the setup of your device once again! Let's try doing this using the instructions described here.
