My Fitbit Charge 6 workout timer keeps stopping during my workout. I had to restart it more than 20 times today, during a 35 minute workout. It means my workouts are not being recorded. Stopping the recording of a workout requires 2 steps and some precise scrolling so it would be impossible to do it accidentally. This has happened several times over the past few weeks. I’ve tried a restart on a couple of occasions. It's very frustrating to think a workout is being recorded when it's not. Any suggestions?

I was actually just reading a thread very similar to this on the Pixel Watch forums. Although I haven't heard of any confirmed solutions, have you tried checking for updates on the device and phone? How about firmware updates?

Hello @Allybongo1 ! It’s great to have you on board!
Thank you very much @DramaQueenDiva for your support.
@Allybongo1 As suggested by @DramaQueenDiva , please verify that your phone, app, and Fitbit are updated. Additionally, perform a restart of your watch following the steps below:
Another way to restart your device is to unplug it, wait a second, and plug it back in. Repeat this process 3 times in an 8 seconds interval and then wait 10 seconds until the device restarts.

Hi. Thanks for your advice. I think the problem started when I did a Fitbit update in February. It’s so annoying when I think I’m recording my workout and not realised it’s stopped, or I keep checking to see if it’s working and therefore interrupting my workout session.

Hi. Thanks for your advice. I’ve already done a restart on a number of occasions, but this hasn’t resolved the issue. I think the problem started when I did a Fitbit update in February. It’s so annoying when I think I’m recording my workout and not realised it’s stopped, or I keep checking to see if it’s working and therefore interrupting my workout session.

I think the problem is now sorted. Restarting the device made no difference so I decided to delete the Fitbit app and reinstall it. It’s now been a week without any problems 🤞
