Just got the new Charge 6 today and charged it and it says it needs an updated software. So told it to download and its been hours. At least 4 and till says updating on the app on the phone. The watch itself just flips between two different screens on says to download the mobile app and the other something. What else can I do. I have turned off the phone and back on and have pushed the side button on the watch 3 times as suggested. Not impressed at all. Ive had several fitbits over the years and had the Charge 5 with no problems till I got in the pool with it on by mistake. Don't do that!

Hi, @Keelve1959 , if the clock face on the Fitbit is telling you to download the app then it is not yet set up. I would recommend starting the process over completely. If necessary force quit the Fitbit app so that it aborts the process. Then, with your new Fitbit well charged and close to your phone, open up the Fitbit app again and from the opening screen click on small icon top left (watch and smartphone). On the next screen scroll down to Set up a new device. Choose Charge 6 from the list and follow the instructions from there. Hopefully it will work more smoothly this time.
