Charge 6 will not pair credit cards

Pretty much exactly what it says. I made certain both capital one and Wells Fargo were on the list and neither card will pair, it goes all the way to ‘contacting your bank’ and then throws an error message at me. Has anyone else run into this and am I just destined to never be able to use it? So far this particular Fitbit product is such a letdown with Every Single Feature. It’s all a fight. 

Has anyone won this particular battle and gotten one of the supposedly ‘approved’ credit or debit cards to connect to their Charge 6??

Nope, lost this battle here too. My card's connected through Google Wallet but Fitbit throws up an error message that says "This card can't be set up for tap to pay." Wrong, my phone & Google Wallet work just fine.

Called my bank and they say there's no issue on their end (it also worked previously through FitbitPay). Who knows. Nothing but trouble with this version. Shoulda stuck with my Charge 5 😞

Called Capital One when I got the same error as you described. I was told that they do not allow the cards to be used with Fitbit and that this is part of their "digital strategy". Disappointing since they claim compatibility with Google wallet now. My Capital One cards work perfectly fine with Google wallet.

Same exact problem with my debit card despite it available in both Google Wallet and Pay. It's fitbit end that isn't working.

Same problem. I am trying to set up my debit card, however whenever I do so, it gets stuck at contacting bank then tries me an error message. Help

The issue is at Google's end. They attempt a charge on the card when they say 'contacting the bank' and the handshake takes too long and Google throws the 'not supported' message. Few secs later I get the SMS saying I was test charged for 1USD. Why can't Google wait a few more secs!

any updates on this or still not working? My wife got a pixel watch 2 and that work with the cards but not the fit bit =(

Exactly same issue at Australia, I tried different cards and none of them is able to be added to the wallet. This is so disappointing! Doesn't match what they say on the AD.

I am unable to pair a Virgin Money UK credit card to my Charge 6. The card works fine on Google Wallet on my Android and iPhone, but get's the same error message reported above on my Charge 6 at the point it contacts my bank.

Feedback from Virgin Money UK - they block credit cards from Fitbit Charge 6 due to a "high risk token" (whatever that means!). Their security rules do not rate Fitbit secure enough to allow Virgin Money credit cards to be processed via Google Wallet on a Charge 6. So, it's time to return my Charge 6 for a refund! 😞

Exactly. It's why I bought the Charge 6 instead of the much cheaper Inspire 3

That's not what my bank (Virgin Money UK) told me. They said specifically that they (not Google) block Fitbit Charge 6 due to their concerns about the Charge 6's security token implementation
