Charge 6 with wrong step counter numbers

I just got myself a Charge 6 after seeing such good reviews all over, but I'm noticing that the step counter it does is pretty messed up. I slept only to wake up having walked 200 steps. I must be a Somnambulist, but I'm not. I was just about wondering where this number is coming from and I notice that it counts as I just move my hands. Is this correct or is this one defect piece that I received. Can anything be done? I tried to shorten the stride length from the settings, but of no help. Any ideas?

Hi @eyesis these are wrist based trackers and if you were playing the guitar, waving to people or anything else that makes the wrist move, it will think of the movement as steps. All you can do is change the sensitivity of the Fitbit by selecting non-dominant or dominant hand. Two hundred steps when you wake up - the device starts counting at midnight, so it's not uncommon to have steps when you get up in the morning. When I adjust my pillow or blankets or reach over to check the time, the steps add up. This morning I had about 136 steps.
