Charge 6 won't connect to Concept2 PM5

I just got a new Charge 2 because the Fitbit Help Center says it is compatible with the Concept 2. I spent over 2 hours today trying to connect, calling Fitbit Help, Live Chatting with Fitbit Help. No solution yet.

My Concept 2 recognizes the Charge 6, but the Charge 6 won't present me with the option to Share my heartrate back to the Concept 2 and complete the connection.

Has anyone successfully completed a connection between Concept 2 PM5 and Charge 6? If so, HOW?

No, it doesn't work with C2 PM5.

Is that experience? or definitive? 😞
The Help Center says:

"Charge 6 is intended to be compatible with fitness equipment/apps that use the Bluetooth Heart Rate Profile.
We tested and confirmed connectivity for the latest models of:
  • iFit (NordicTrack)
  • Peloton equipment and mobile app
  • Concept2
  • Tonal
  • Hydrow and Hydrow Wave
  • Spinning bikes and mobile app
Your Charge 6 will work with other equipment/apps not listed here, but not all Bluetooth-compatible devices and apps will connect or behave similarly. Additional devices and apps will be added to this list in the future."

And I see this video showing a connection:  https://youtu.be/8Kvj2qUdTUc

it says "the latest models" without specifying what models so specifying the brand means nothing. I never managed to connect Charge 6 to Concept2 PM5 in my gym (I don't own a rowing machine myself) but managed with no issues to connect the chest strap, broadcast HR from Garmin and connect Concept2 to Garmin as a smart trainer (so it reads all live data including power, distance, speed, strokes, etc.). Fitbit needs to put a little more work to make this feature useful.
