Charge 6 won't pair with the app

After an update on my Galaxy A13 phone. My charge 6 stopped communicating with the fitbit app. I have uninstalled the app and the charge6 from my Bluetooth list. I've installed the app numerous times abd tried to pair the charge 6. It just says there is an error. The fitbit app is picking up cake used and that's it but only a few. It seems like the app is stuck. Any help you can offer. I even Tried to pair my charge 5 but it did the same thing. I have checked all the setting onthe phone. I have been using the charge 6 for 2 years and it's been fine up to now.

Hello everyone! A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you all here!

Thank you all so much for letting us know about this situation and for keeping us updated. Our team has been looking for a solution and has recently launched a new version of the Fitbit app. Some users have reported that with this new version of the app they're able to pair their devices again.

Please try to update your Fitbit app to the 4.28.3 version. If it doesn't work, please restart your phone and try the steps of set up as new device again:

  1. Update the Fitbit App to 4.28.3.
  2. Open the Fitbit app. On the Today tab, tap on Devices (Device icon, top left).
  3. Delete any connected Fitbit Trackers/SmartWatches, if any are shown.
  4. Go to Android Settings, Bluetooth (Connected Settings), and "Forget" any Fitbit Trackers/SmartWatches if any are shown.
  5. Restart your phone.
  6. Open the Fitbit app and re-add the Tracker/SmartWatch (via the Devices icon, top left). How do I set up my Fitbit device?
  7. From the Fitbit app, Today tab, Tap or Hold near to the top of the screen and then drag down to perform a manual sync.

It seems to be a worldwide problem with Android users, apparently they are supposed to be doing another update (after the last update to fix it failed)in a few days time. I've spent hours on the online help, do frustrating and disappointing.

I've just returned on fitbit ad I thought it was faulty now new one, charge 6 won't even set up. Phoned fitbit to discover 5he app is down. Went to phone shop too as I thought my phone was faulty. Some info would have been useful. Hope this helps you . I've just been told they are working to fix it

I had the same problem.  New Charge 6 could not set up. I had a very expensive brick.  Called Fitbit and they told me the app wasn't working and they hoped to fix it in the next week or two.   I am a lucky  one.  I have an Ipad so downloaded the app onto the tablet and set the watch up that way.  I prefer using the app on my Android phone, but in the meantime I will just synch to the tablet.

Wondering, is the issue all Android devices or just some?  Would be worth someone with a version of Android different from their phone , or say on a tablet that is a different maker than their phone,  to try setting up that way.

Yes. I deleted Charger 6 from Bluetooth. I turned off and turned on
Bluetooth. I have turned my phone off and on.
I am unable to pair Charger 6 to my iPhone 13 + pro max. The error is
always ‘unable to find Charge 6’ when adding device.

Thank you. I gave it a try but unfortunately it didn’t work. Error
message during set up says it can’t find my Fitbit Charge 6. My phone is
right next to the Charge 6 while it’s on the charger. 🤷🏻‍:female_sign:
