A few months ago, my Charge 6 started losing the connection to my Pixel 6 phone. The app said it was connected but wouldn't show the battery level and wouldn't sync. My phone's bluetooth settings show the device connected. If I disconnected the Charge 6 in the app and forgot the device in the phone's bluetooth settings, I could then reconnect it in the app. It would work for a few days and then the same thing would occur. I've seen lots of other posts describing this problem and I've tried lots of other solutions (e.g., uninstalling and reinstalling the app), but nothing fixes the problem for good. I don't want to restart my phone or reconnect the tracker every few days, that's no solution at all.
I thought it was the Charge 6 malfunctioning, so I bought a new one. I've had it for a few weeks now and the same thing is happening. So now I'm convinced it's not the Charge 6, it must be either my phone or the app. The app version shows 4.49, the app shows version under System 66.20001.214.24
Any ideas?

@ldfarms Sorry you are experiencing this issue.
I will share that when I upgraded to my Charge 6 I was able to get everything (Fitbit app version and Charge 6 System/firmware) current. A short time after that I picked up my phone and there was a Fitbit notification/challenge related to bluetooth extended security on my screen. Unfortunately I think I actually acknowledged that notification while trying to adjust my phone to properly read it. After that my Charge 6 would frequently show the "Disconnected Device" icon at the top of the face/screen (I'm using the default "Fast Lane"). It took me a few weeks to sort out this behavior, but I actually think it was more phone related than anything. My VPN was auto-managing itself as I moved between various WiFi and/or my cellular networks. Since I began manually managing VPN my failures to sync have drastically reduced.
TLDR *** Important Stuff Begins Here ***
Since resolving the above, every time my Charge 6 fails to sync, I have had to do nothing more than "simultaneously restart my Charge 6 and my phone." The screen on my original Charge 6 failed, I received a warranty replacement and this resolution has consistently worked for my warranty replacement Charge 6. One more comment is that, this "fail to sync" behavior appears to be a function of the Fitbit app or my phone and not of my Charge 6. So I think It is worth reviewing your Phone OS part of the Community when one experiences issues.
I will also share my current versions as the Community is seeing, and Fitbit support is working on resolving, a Fitbit app related issue which my older version OS is not experiencing.

Hello @ldfarms
There are several other Charge 6 users reporting syncing issues, please see this thread (<-- click). The Moderator on the thread is collecting information to provide to the team for investigation and eventual fix.
You might want to post on that thread with your information so that it can be added to the bug report ticket.
