Do Fitbit’s monitor blood pressure?

My Mom recently had a blood pressure scare and I’ve been considering buying her a Fitbit to monitor it. She also likes to walk so it would be perfect if it could do both. Does anyone know if it does measure blood pressure and if so how accurate ?

Hi, @sankatm7 , unfortunately no current Fitbits monitor blood pressure and there is currently no place in the Fitbit app to record blood pressure.  However Fitbit and Google have recently worked together to link Fitbit to the Health Connect app where all health and fitness data can be stored together.  I think this could help your mother, but she would need to have a separate device to measure her blood pressure which then could be recorded in the app.  Some Bluetooth BP monitors can sync with the app so the record could get automatically uploaded to the app.

As I am sure you are aware exercise is a big factor in controlling blood pressure, and a Fitbit is a great way to keep track of that.

That's great news. How do I sync my blood pressure from Google fit to Fitbit if there is no place in the Fitbit app to report the blood pressure?

Withings has some of the best BP monitors.  It's a huge part of my health monitoring and the fact that Fitbit doesn't even have the fields is a huge miss.  Withings is part of Health Connect but the fact that Fitbit doesn't even put a place to put the data is really amazing.  Exercise is an indirect way to influence BP and not having BP doesn't allow real metrics of health.
