Do you need ear buds for the phone feature?

Hello @Garyr13519 and welcome to the Community.  I apologize if I'm misreading what you wrote.  The Charge 6 has YouTube Music controls that lets you control YouTube Music playing on your phone.  It doesn't store music, so it doesn't playback music.  The Charge 6 can't connect to ear buds.

To add to @LZeeW 's answer, the Charge 6 will notify you that you have an incoming call. But you will need to use your phone to answer the call.

The Charge 6 doesn't have a built-in microphone or a speaker.
