Does Charge 6 need to calibrate?

I just upgraded my Charge 5 to a Charge 6 and have worn it for three or four days. It seems like my calories burned is WAY high. I have noticed my resting heart rate is on the higher side (85 to 100, sometimes a bit higher but usually sitting in the 90s) which I'm sure contributes, but would it do that much?

I know the counts aren't totally accurate to begin with, but I have successfully used it in the past to help with losing weight and was just looking for decent estimates for some kind of idea of calories I'm burning. It's making it a bit hard to determine my deficit. It's telling me I'm burning ~2100 calories on days I'm not even exercising.

I do think the heart rate function is working fine- I compared it with a couple other monitors/took my pulse and they all are consistent across the board.

On the app it mentions needing to calibrate some things- does this help improve accuracy? This is a new feature to me so I'm not sure if that impacts its calculations or anything. I didn't really seem to have this issue with my Charge 5!
