Welcome to the community forums, @Sean73.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and checking the necessary settings before posting. I understand how you're feeling and let's work on this together. Given this situation, I'd recommend the following steps:

  1. Open the Fitbit app, tap Devices at the upper left corner > Charge 6
  2. Tap Gallery, find the ECG app and try uninstalling it
  3. Then, force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone
  4. Restart your tracker with the charging cable to refresh its performance
  5. Open the Fitbit app and reinstall the ECG app one more time
  6. From the You tab, find the ECG tile in the Health assessments section and verify the Heart Rhythm Assessment introduction is completed
  7. Then, try taking an ECG reading one more time

Welcome to the community, @Hoppi1803.

Thanks for joining this thread and trying the suggestions shared above. Just to confirm, do you see that message when using the ECG app on your Charge 6? Or is it displayed on the Fitbit app?

Because your post didn't mention, let me suggest restarting your tracker with the charging cable to refresh its performance. Once this is done, try taking an ECG reading to see if it starts working correctly.

New user here. Got my fitbit charge 6 today. I have the same problem as OP. Everything works except the ECG.

It says "Set up on phone. Open your fitbit app and go to the Discover tab. Find assessments & reports. Can't find phone".

I can't find any discover tab. But under health assessments it says ECG On & ready to use after I set it up. Bluetooth is always on and I can see heartrate and sync the device so I have no idea why it says can't find phone on ECG. Tried restarting phone and the fitbit.

If I go to gallery and press uninstall the ECG app I get this message: "unable to install. install failed, please try again later".

Welcome on board, @Kay1991x.

Thanks for joining this thread and letting me know about your tracker. Because your post didn't mention, may I know if you've tried the steps suggested in my previous post? If not, please give them a try to see if the ECG app starts working again on your Charge 6.

I have a similar problem. I'm in the UK and had the ecg working fine to begin with. Then it disappeared off the charge 6 menu when I scroll left on it, only to reappear again later in the day or the next day. This now happens frequently. It also disappears and reappears off of the installed app list in gallery. Strange, any explanation why this is happening?

Welcome to the forums, @JohnnyCordner.

Thanks for joining this thread and sharing these details. This is odd as it shouldn't happen if your location hasn't changed. I'm sorry that's not your case and to look into this, may I know if this only happens with the ECG app, or does it apply to other apps as well?

In the meantime, I'd recommend trying the steps from my previous post to see if they work on the Charge 6 and Fitbit app.
