So I’ve paired my charge 6 and Bluetooth is on but it’s just showing a sign on the watch saying ‘download the Fitbit mobile app’ which obviously I’ve already done.
Can anyone help please 🙏

Open your Fitbit app and do a setup of toe Charge 6, which your device hasn't finished.
See my other response to this question.

I'm thinking of buying another Fitbit, but it worries me that it appears someone with a significant problem had to wait for four months to get a reply from a Fitbit moderator...

Hello @iSeeker
Actually, I've noticed that the Moderators are responding more frequently than they used to. They are also faster at acknowledging issues and providing updates, when available.

Good to know RiekoC - to be honest, I saw faster responses years ago. Perhaps the transfer to Google was responsible?

@iSeeker please remember that you are on a community of Fitbit Users, Moderators are here to monitor and moderate when issues come up. They usually stand back and give users a chance to answer first. Every user also has a link that will let them contact support.

Thank you for your response. There doesn't appear to be any confirmation that the initial community reply solved the problem. I wouldn't be happy waiting four months for an expert solution.

@iSeeker your watch is saying to download the app. Have you? Then through the app have you tried a setup? If so, what error message did the Fitbit App give you?

Thank you for replying further Rich-Laue.
I downloaded the app successfully when I acquired my first smartphone, a month or two ago, March-April 2025, as my old Nokia dumb-phone had suddenly stopped receiving text messages. Simultaneously (i.e. immediately on getting the app working), my Kindle Fire 7 stopped recognising my login to Fitbit, where I had still been able to check my Fitbit stats even after Google had disabled the PC version, which itself had been so much more convenient than the smaller screen of a smartphone.
Can you help me reinstate KindleFire 7 access to Fitbit? I've had a version of the PC app on it ever since I acquired the Charge2 about 7 years ago. It asks me to request a password change by submitting my email address but the message never appears in any of the email addresses I can provide.
My Fitbit is a Charge2 and I think it's tme to get a newer version, which was the reason I entered this conversation.
