Fitbit 6 stops working after the expiry of the 6 month free premium subscription

HI all,

My FB6 stopped working (totally dead screen), and this is the third time it's happened, with Google replacing the watch each time. I have suddenly noticed that this happens on the date of the expiry of the free 6 months Premium subscription, and it's hard not to think that Google is disabling the watch because I did not sign up to pay for the Premium subscription, especially since the last time in February, my old/dud device suddenly came alive again once the replacement device was on its way (and presumably Google (re)activated my account). Has anyone else had any issue like this?
Many thanks,
(I have messaged Fitbit, but not had a reply yet)

I have never had a fit bit last more then a beyond the warranty, although they have replace them a number of times when they quick before the warranty.   The devices do not have a life span of more than 1 year as they are very low quality.   Generally the quality has been going down as well buy a different brand is the only advice I can think of

Hi- thanks for your reply. It sounds like you have had similar problems to me, though my particular gremlin seems to happen like clockwork at the expiry of the free six month premium subscription, so it's hard not to think Google are doing something specific to disable my device, though they assure me not. (V impressed that I got a quick response, and on a Sunday, though the response hasn't resolved the issue.)
I like the device and its functionality (when it works), but I am very fed up;  an internet search hasn't suggested an obvious similar alternative to me unfortunately...
