Fitbit App Not Displaying Active Minutes on Newer Devices

I have worn Fitbit trackers for years. Recently I replaced my tracker with the Charge 6. The data displayed on the app (and Charge 6) does not include "active minutes". It displays "active zone minutes" only. After speaking with a Fitbit customer service rep, I was told that the latest version of the app has deleted "active minutes" tracking data. Considering I have used both active and zone minutes for daily comparison for years, I am disappointed with Google's choice to eliminate this feature. I now get a daily notification that my activity has decreased when in fact it is the tracking that has decreased. I believe Google should reinstate "active minute" tracking ASAP.

Hi @vks7171, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your question about active minutes.

Earn Active Zone Minutes or active minutes based on your device with heart-pumping activity throughout the day. These devices track Active Zone Minutes :

Fitbit Charge 4
Fitbit Charge 5
Fitbit Charge 6
Fitbit Inspire 2
Fitbit Inspire 3
Fitbit Luxe
Fitbit Sense series
Fitbit Versa series

All other devices track active minutes .

Hi @vks7171.  I have some insight for you about this change.  Fitbit follows CDC activity recommendations.  Active minutes are an older activity recommendation, no longer recognized by the CDC.  In fact, the CDC stopped recommending active minutes in 2018.  Current CDC and WHO activity recommendations are a minimum of 150 min/wk of moderate activity or 75 min/wk of vigorous activity or a combination of the two.  (CDC Source)  Fitbit gives you this credit by counting 1x the number of moderate activity minutes and 2x the number of vigorous activity minutes.  You mentioned tracking both metrics, but active minutes are obsolete.
