Dear sir, madam,
I recently purchased the fitbit charge 6 as my first activity tracker ever. I noticed that the fitbit is counting steps when its not on my wrists (and I also don't have my phone on me). Additionally, the tracker counts 1500+ steps when I do cycling workouts.
I already fully reset the device and done some research. I see in the community that fitbit calculates steps in a workout, but is there any way to disable that (I know that its never gonna be 100% accurate due to the system how the fitbit calculates movement), but 1500 steps is a lot.
Lastly I wonder if anyone else has the problem of the fitbit counting steps when not wearing the fitbit and also not having your phone on you.
I appreciate the help!
Regards,

try getting with customer support. These are the community forums, where we offer peer-to-peer help.
here are the support contacts I've gleaned over the years on the forums.
when there is someone available, chat is an option. Phone or X/Twitter works well, too.
