Fitbit Charge 6 has been dead for months and just started working

Things been dead for 5-6mo. Showed charging all day, but when I disconnected it to wear, it just died.

Today I was about to toss it, then as I picked it up off the charger it stayed on.

All I can think of is that I "angrily" put it on the charger last time. So either I scared it into working or there was i knocked something off the connectors.

It's great to know that your Charge 6 just started working. 

If you haven't used your Charge 6 for several months, and it won't turn on, we usually suggest to leave the device plugged in to the charging cable for at least 30 minutes.

Maybe it has something related to the connectors as your mentioned.
