Fitbit Charge 6 - inaccurate distance for workout

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie to Fitbit and just got a Charge 6. I previously had the fitness tracker from Orange Theory Fitness that lasted just over 5 years but recently gave out.

I'm getting used to the Charge 6 and the features. I did a 1.54 mile walking excercise by IFIT on my ProForm HIIT machine today. However, FitBit only recorded .08 miles which means that the distance, steps and energy burned is inaccurate.

Has anyone experienced this and what is the resolution?

I already had to do a reset on my 1st day (yesterday) because it wasn't providing a heartrate.

Thanks!

I was going to say the GPS is not that great and try using connected GPS and this should work pretty well. However reading your post again I am thinking you are saying you walked on a walking machine. I am not sure how a fitbit could known how far you walked on a machine as you did not move location so the GPS would not come in to play
