Fitbit Charge 6 is no longer recording naps

I took a 1.5 hr nap this morning and fitbit failed to record it. I've never had this problem before. Is Fitbit going to shiiite? Do I have to go to Apple watch? I didn't want to do that but I will if I must.

I’m having the same problem. My Inspire 3 used to collect data about any significant naps, and now it doesn’t. Even if I get up to feed the cats, and go back to bed, it’s not collecting that sleep time. And sometimes it’s a couple hours of sleep that isn’t being logged. All since the software “upgrade”. Not happy.

Make sure that your nap is no less than an hour long. Any sleep  period less than an hour will have to be manually added, and any sleep period less then 3 hours will be recorded without sleep stages.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @john1san@kbunny27. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 6 is no longer recording naps and I'll be happy to assist.

As @Rich_Laue mentioned, your Fitbit device detects and records naps that are at least an hour long. We recommend wearing your device in a snug wristband while sleeping; don’t wear your device in a clip or pendant accessory and try sleeping with the tracker on your non-dominant hand.

Also: restart the tracker. See instructions in How do I restart my Fitbit device?
