Fitbit Not Accurately Tracking Steps on Under-Desk Walking Pad

Hi everyone,

I've been using an under-desk walking pad and have encountered some problems with my Fitbit tracking. When I wear it on my wrist, it doesn't count my steps because my arms are on the desk. If I put it in my pocket, it counts my steps but doesn't give me any data on calories burned in MyFitnessPal (MFP), presumably because it can't measure my heart rate.

When I bought my Fitbit, I chose it because I wanted the "dumbest" smartwatch I could get – no emails, SMS, phone calls, etc. I just wanted something to track sleep and exercise.

Hello @dhandaln and welcome to the Community.  You can try wearing it on your ankle.  It's what I do when pushing a stroller, another activity without arm movement.  There are third party band extenders on sites like Amazon.  I wear mine about an inch or so above my inside ankle bone.
