After fitbit using gmail as the account, the charge 6 cannot connect to the fitbit in the China, because the China blocked the blocks google service.
I just got connecteingcharge 6 and phone by using VPN. If I want to sync, then I have to connect VPN first. It is really unconvincing for the people using charge 6 in China. Even the people visiting China. Because connecting to VPN is illegal in China. That put the users at China in dangers.
Could Fitbit manager to consider charge 6 connect to phone app without google account?

Hello @rrfeynman and welcome to the Community. Google owns Fitbit. In a nutshell, nothing will change as long as China maintains its Great Firewall and strict censorship rules.
The Charge 6 requires a Google account for setup and there is no workaround.

totally agree—it’s a mess. Been using Fitbit for years, but now in China, VPN is the only way to sync. Support’s response? “Firewall, deal with it.” Awful attitude, super inconvenient.
