Fitbit only lasted 23 months. I’m done

Hi Community....I purchased a Fitbit two years ago for my son's birthday and it stopped charging about a month ago. He took great care of it. Never even showered with it.   I contacted customer service and tried all the troubleshooting tips.  However, nothing would get it to charge.  I have asked for a replacement but Fitbit said since it was out of warranty all they could do is offer a discount on purchasing a new one.  I have been a Fitbit customer for 7 years, and I have purchased Fitbits for both my sons.  However given this bad experience, I am very reluctant to purchase another Fitbit.  I am going to share this experience everywhere I can to warn people that their Fitbit may not last very long.

Hi @tonydavid  the warranty period is one year (USA) and two years (Some European countries) which is about the same as other products. My Canon printer has a one year warranty. A discount is more than I received when my printer died eight days after the one year warranty expired. Sometimes a device will last longer than others. Why not use the discount and try a new device.

Hi Odyssey13…your response sounds like you could work for Fitbit!  It is this customer service attitude that’s leading me to serious consider abandoning Fitbit. Why should I spend more money on a product that only lasts just over a year?
