For voice cues, why does Split Pace *always* equal Average Pace?

I wear a Charge 6 and use my phone's FitBit app when hiking. I set up my app to report Distance, Time, Average Pace, and Split Pace via voice cues. Everything seems to work well, except that the Split Pace is always precisely the same as the Average Pace - even when I've trudged up a steep incline that should significantly increase the split pace for that portion of the hike. Is this a known bug? If not, how do I get my app & Charge 6 to report splits correctly? FWIW, this was also an issue with the Charge 5.

@levsr   Do you use an Android or iPhone?  Your post can get moved to a better fit forum.  GPS tracking on the app is a feature that exists entirely on your phone.  It doesn't matter what model you use.

@LZeeW is correct your Charge 6 does not have voice cues. You dont even need your tracker with you if you are using the Fitbit app on the phone.
